Summer Time in Ontario, Canada is always fun and eventful 🇨🇦. After a season of cold and snowy weather, it's always refreshing to go outside and soak up the sun while embracing the vivid landscapes around us.
While everything's blooming around us, its good to have a plan on where to go to make the most of it. Let us share with you one particular event that we have enjoyed and something you can also add to your Ontario Summer Adventures.
Say Hello to - Purple Hill Lavender Farm located in Creemore, Ontario (just about 1.5 hours drive from Toronto). This Farm is one of the most visited attractions nearby Toronto in this season.

💜 How long does lavender season typically last?
You can visit this lovely farm around mid-June until mid-August every year.
Purple Hill Lavender Farm has a lot to offer - not just walking around the lavender fields and take cute photos. Here's what you can definitely do:
✨ Join their Annual Summer Festival.
This is an 8-hour event where you can enjoy live music, vendor market, workshop and access to the farm and field all day - $20 per person.
This is perfect activity with your family and friends.
✨ Enjoy the Lavender Field for an ALL DAY admission
For just $15 for 6 years old & above and FREE for kids 5 y/o below.
This is open for all ages including pets. There's also a good distance between each lavender plants which makes the path accessible to strollers and mobility devices. Just that it can get a little bit bumpy.
The farm opens daily from 10am to 5pm.
You can also bring your snacks and sit in some of the picnic tables around the field. (But in everywhere we go, we must always clean as we go. Dispose your trash in the proper bin.)
✨Experience the Evening Picnic Series
Enjoy a romantic picnic experience from 6pm-8pm with your partner, family or friends.
This is just so perfect if you wish to have the sunset ambience in your photos.
Choose your picnic table surrounded by lavender plants (this is first-come, first serve).
You will be given a drink (either alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and shareable charcuterie box with cheeses, meat, fruits and vegetables.
Listen to live music while exploring the farm and lavender fields.
You will also receive a $10 voucher that you can use in their farm boutique.
Start with $250 for 2 people. Free for Age 3 below and $40 for children aged 4-12.
We truly enjoyed this experience and definitely look forward to doing it again. Its a great experience for all your loved ones. Nothing more special that enjoying an all-natural meal together, share your dreams and make memories together amidst the dreamy lavender fields and sunset.

We actually bought a cute dried lavender on a vase, lavender candle, eye pillow and dried lavender bouquet which smells so good.
This is the best time to wear your prettiest summer attire 👗👕. Here are some recommendations for you to make it a picture perfect experience.
For the lovely ladies: wear a flowy dress and semi-casual for men with soft neutrals & pastels like white/off-white/ivory/blush pink/dusty rose/sage green/beige/soft blue.
Ladies, you can also consider adding a wide-brim hat and wear a nude sandals. (Choose a footwear that's comfortable for you to walk. The ground is uneven.)

Just 1.5 hours from Toronto, 30 mins from Collingwood (Blue Mountain)

If you want to use the public Transportation, You can take the GO Train or Bus from Toronto to Barrie, Collingwood, or Burlington. Then take ride-share like Uber, Lyft or Local Taxi. This can be expensive so plan a trip with your friends and travel together. And it's always fun to travel with friends.
Purple Hill Lavender Farm is nearby to great cities that you can visit as well. Maybe drop-by to Blue Mountain / Collingwood and explore the summer activities, go for a walk or swim in the Georgian Bay or go for a hike in Barrie.
Here are some additional travels tips we'd like to share with you before you go:
❌ Please do not pick the lavenders. If you wish to have a lavender bouquet, you can visit the shop in the entrance and purchase from there. Let's protect the farm so everyone can continue to enjoy this experience.
🐝 Just a heads up, bees love lavenders. Do not get too close to the plants and provoke the bees. The bees won’t bite you as long as you keep your distance and always be mindful. Don’t worry, as there are also some picnic tables further from the lavenders in case you get anxious.
